For the permanent exhibition of illuminated manuscripts in National Museum in Prague, we created a facsimile of a large medieval missal donated by Bishop John of Dražice, who, as a reformer of the Church, was on trial in Avignon for supporting heretics.
The illumination was pasted into the book as a separately painted image of the crucifixion with the donor and his heraldic shields.
The facsimile was made including a robust book binding with metal fittings.
